Now, you may think me nosey, or that I should really mind my own business, but I just have to say this. I mean no offense, but I've noticed a few problems with your site. As a fellow site owner, I know how annoying it is to have guests come and not say anything about your site. They just see it's not fit and walk away. Well, because of this I find it my purpose to say something-- positive criticism. This is what I've found so far. I probably won't state all of it so that you aren't overwhelmed(I can say alot).
I'll start with the rules. At first, I couldn't find them. I had to search the for a good while, too long. You should have them out in the open for people to see easily. Maybe make a Quick Link to all your important threads(Rules, Plot, etc.). If it's not easily displaced you will loose potential members. Along with the rules, I found a few individuals that bothered me. I'll go down the list. The first would be rule number two. I have no issue with it's purpose I just found it kind of confusing. Really it's only a word choice problem. So instead of saying 'they', just say member or the actual person. Another one I didn't really find optimal was rule number three. In all the sites I've been the ones that say you can only have one character per account are most prosperous. It keeps the about of inactive characters down and it's easier for people to understand who's who. Next down the list is number five. Being active is a good thing, but two monthes is too long. People will just disappear for a month them come back for a short visit then leave again. The away period must at most be a month any longer and you will have a lot of inactive members. Basically, that's it. Everything else looks good for rules for the time being. But I also have a few suggestions...
Along with the one character per account rule, I think you should fit in a rule that says you have to change your name to the character that you play. This keep things organized. Secondly, I don't think the rules should be in the General Board. I puts them as less then important compared to you characters, especially since the character creation boards are above them. I think you should make a Getting Started board or something of the sort and put up a Information board. There you can put in rules and the plot anything that you think new members should know. Also you should put some decriptions into the roleplay place boards. Give a little background or short setting relief in at each place.
I leave it at that for the while, I don't want to say anymore with out your approval.

Thanks for the comments and suggestions.
The rules are in the announcements and they have been the entire time. I needed somewhere to actually post the rules and so I did it in the general board. You should have been able to read the rules while still in the Character Creation board...
And I find it gets really annoying having more than one account. That's why we have the rule that you can have 5 characters per account, so that you don't have to worry about making a new account for every character that you make.
I agree with the one month thing. I don't really know what I was thinking when I made it two months, I was actually half asleep when I made the forum.

Well, my point is with the rules you need them at the very top of the board, so they are the first thing that guests and new members look at. Creating your character is a secondary issue.
Also, that is the point of the one character per account rule. Only if a member is responsible to man two account are they responsible enough to have two characters. Also you'll have a lot of inactive characters that way. I also find that potential role players like it more that way.

Once again, I thank you for the comments.
The rules are right there. It's an announcement so it is always up top.
I know of forums that have been succesful with rules like that. And people are allowed to make second accounts if they aren't comfortable with having more than one character on one account.
Fell free to keep the suggestions coming. I like hearing what people have to say.
